John Mason

President on the Executive Board

Mr Mason has extensive experience in the fields of education, horticulture, recreation and media. John Mason is a prolific writer. He has produced over 150 books and 4,000 articles published across a career spanning 5 decades for a range of publishers including Simon and Schuster, Landlinks Press (CSIRO Publishing), Harper Collins and Hyland House. John is a renowned and well respected member of many professional associations. He has been elevated to the distinguished level "fellow" by three professional associations, two in Australia and one in the UK. Mr Mason has served on many industry bodies over his career and Ordinary Board Member, representing education, on the Australian Garden Council. Among other bodies, he is a Fellow of the Institute of Horticulture (UK), Member of the Garden Media Guild and of the Institute of Training & Occupational Learning (ITOL), Fellow of Parks and Leisure Australia and of Institute of Horticulture (Australia). We are proud to have John Mason continue hold office as President on the Executive Board of the International Approval and Registration Centre.


Carmel Thompson

Treasurer on the Executive Board

Carmel Thompson has been on the Executive Board of IARC for 15 years. She is a highly qualified VET practitioner with an extensive history of providing services to both Australian and International clients working in education. Carmel has a Masters of Education (Quality Management), Bachelor of Business in Accounting, Graduate Diploma in Social Ecology as well as several Diplomas in VET & Training Design & Development. She has been working in the education Industry for over 25 years and is a qualified accountant with experience as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), trainer and educational consultant. She is the CEO of The Southern Cross Connection which provides consultancy services to both Australian and international clients focusing on capacity building, quality management systems and business development. https://www.linkedin.com/in/carmelthompson/


Sarah Redman

Secretary on the Executive Board

Sarah has 20 years industry experience covering marketing, PR, administration, event management and training, both in private enterprise and government in Australia, the UK and Dubai. Sarah was the Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator for P&O Maritime, has worked for DP World and also worked at many smaller industry associations and training organisations. March 2019: Sarah is leaving the IARC to move on to new horizons. We are sorry to see her go and wish her well. Vahini Panda

International Relations Officer on the Executive Board

Vahini Panda is the Director and CEO of Health Courses Australia a Registered training organisation and Health Academy Australia a Vocational training organisation which specializes in online courses in health. She has extensive experience in online education, E commerce and vocational education. Vahini has the experience of running 2 schools one which is government recognised and the other running non accredited high quality industry recognised courses. She has also has taught in New Zealand, India, Ireland, the UK and Australia. With her global experience in education and qualifications from India, Ireland and Australia Vahini makes a valuable contribution to IARC as the International Relations officer.


Jade Sciascia

International Business Manager

Jade's role is to oversee all operational and strategic management of the organisation's entities in Australia and the UK. Jade represents the organisation on an international platform and specifically manages the duties and responsibilities of her eleven colleagues on the Committee Board and 66 member organisations.
